Plant Protection Practises and Their Impact on Environment

The world population is increasing by 81 million every year and people need more agricultural production to avoid hunger. Despite modern farming methods, where advanced technologies new systems such as soilless agriculture are applied, seems far from meeting the nutritional needs of today or in future. Although phytopathogens, insects weeds, which cause significant yield quality losses products, struggled today, it estimated that total loss crops 36.5% due these pests. Plant protection practices (cultural measures, physical control, legal biological chemical alternative control) carried out against pests order prevent product agriculture. Among applications, control most effective method pests, results can be seen a short time. However, especially conventional agriculture, irregular intensive pesticide applications made protect with economic concerns environmental pollution deterioration soil, water resources troposphere ecosystems. In this review, effects plant on non-target organisms different ecosystems presented.
